The Vermont 100 Endurance Race is one of the original 100 mile runs in the USA and a part of the Grand Slam Series of Ultrarunning. Each year, 300 runners attempt to finish this hilly race over beautiful Vermont back roads and trails under the 30 hour cutoff point, and a well-trained few finish in under 24 hours. The race proceeds support Vermont Adaptive.
The new and improved Vermont 100 website is coming!
We've made some changes in platform, format and layout and we hope it will make navigation MUCH EASIER.
We are still migrating pages and will keep the OLD Website live until all the information has been transfer. As pages move, we will add hyperlinks to the OLD page directing you automatically to the NEW page.
So poke around the new site; get familiar with the new layout, and we'll see you all in three weeks.
Thanks for your patience.
Hello Vermont 100 runners!
Exactly 5 weeks from today, you will be arriving at Silver Hill and checking in for the 2017 Vermont 100! We're almost as excited as you are.
You will start to see more info from our race director as we get closer to the event.
PLEASE read everything carefully and ask if you have questions!!
The race will provide BASE Hydro at all the aid stations, and every runner will be provided with a tube of their BASE Electrolytes before the event.
You can learn more about their products (or test it out before race day) here.
Note from Amy-
I apologize for not alerting you runners about this change sooner, but you still have time to test it out on some long training runs before the VT100.
I can attest to the fact that this is an AWESOME product – I swear by it and use it during all of my training and races, I hope that you are all as satisfied with this stuff as I am!
If you are interested in being an ambassador, please fill out their application form here.
We will close the application on June 19th, and let folks know quickly afterward who has been selected. They are looking for folks who are enthusiastic and awesome – so I told them that everyone in the race should qualify!
There have been a few questions regarding camping at the Start/Finish area, so I want to remind folks - this is TENT CAMPING only. There is not space for RVs, campers, etc.
Thanks for understanding!
If you have not completed your service hours and sent them into us please get that in ASAP!
The deadline is June 15th. If you still want to run, your options now include:
1. Submit your volunteer service info here ASAP.
2. E-mail Amy to arrange to volunteer with us on Thursday or Friday before the race.
3. Go to the race registration site to purchase a Volunteer Buy-Out here
You can check if your volunteer information (and qualifier information) has been confirmed for the 100 milers here, and for the 100km-ers here.
Remember, if you arrive on race day and have NOT completed your service hours you will need to pay a buy-out fee or you will not get your race number.
There are still 36 of you 100 mile runners who haven’t submitted your qualifier information.
At this point, you are officially LATE and you owe us this info ASAP (submit here)!
Please don’t make us track you down on this – it adds additional work to the volunteers who are already working hard to put on a great event! Remember – without a verified qualifier, you will not be assigned a bib # to start the race.
Solo Runners & Special Belt Buckles
Please check your solo status on the start lists, and email me if you are changing your status. While you have the option to change this at any time, it’s much easier on the race timer to have as few changes as possible on race weekend.
Further, if you are a 100 miler going for a special belt buckle (500 mile, 1000 mile, etc.), please be sure that it is listed on the start list!
Your registration fee comes with 1 ticket to Friday night's dinner and 1 ticket to Sunday's BBQ.
Additional meal tickets (for your crew, pacers, and supporters) can be purchased online at the race registration site. You can also purchase additional meal tickets at the merchandise table throughout the Vermont 100 event.
As always, reach out with any questions you have. I look forward to seeing each of you soon, in the meantime good luck with your training!
